What is bischofite and what is it used for?
Bischofite is a naturally occurring mineral created millions of years ago by the sediments of an ancient sea. It is extracted in the form of brine and already on the surface it is evaporated to the state of salt. Today, several large deposits of the mineral are known. The deepest of them is located near Poltava, where it is mined at a depth of 2.5 km, and the source itself is very clean.
How is bischofite useful? The effectiveness of the mineral is explained by its composition, which includes about 70 microelements, primarily magnesium, iodine, bromine, sodium, and iron.
How much bischofite and water is required for each bath?
- A foot bath requires 10-15 liters of warm water, at least 15-30 g (2-3 tbsp) of dry bischofite or 150 ml of bischofite solution.
- For a manual bath (brushes only) you need 1-2 liters of warm water and at least 5 g (1 tsp) of dry bischofite or 15 ml of bischofite solution.
- For a manual bath (hands and elbows at the same time) you need 4-5 liters of warm water, at least 10-20 g (1-2 tbsp) of dry bischofite or 50 ml of bischofite solution.
- For a sitz bath, you need to fill the bath with warm water (30-40 liters) and add at least 100 g of dry bischofite or 0.25 liters of bischofite solution. If the bath is intended for feet and knees, then the water should cover the knees; if the bath is intended for the hip joints, then the water should reach the lower back).

Bishofite: its properties and use in medicine
The composition of the mineral is characterized by a high concentration of magnesium chloride. In this indicator, it surpasses all types of sea salts, including the Dead Sea. Scientists have long proven the special importance of magnesium for our health. The trace element takes part in more than 300 reactions and processes in the body. And it is especially important for:
musculoskeletal system - magnesium regulates the proper absorption of calcium, preventing its accumulation in soft tissues and joints. Due to this, it maintains the health of the spine and makes bones stronger. In addition, the microelement relieves swelling and inflammation of the joints, therefore it is indispensable in the treatment and prevention of arthritis and arthrosis. Bishofite preparations for joints and back are here.
muscle system and relief from cramps - the mineral relieves pain and inflammation in the muscles, relaxes them and helps cope with physical activity
nervous system – the microelement effectively relaxes nerve cells, relieving stress, irritability and insomnia. Bishofite preparations for the nervous system are here.
heart and veins - relaxes the heart muscle and improves rhythm, protects against hypertension, atherosclerosis and blood clots. Special gel for venous mesh - Venomag.
digestive system – relaxes the intestinal muscles and relieves spasms. And thanks to its choleretic and laxative effects, it effectively treats constipation and solves most common gastrointestinal problems. Especially for gastrointestinal problems - Detoxmag.
oral health – the mineral relieves inflammation, has a pronounced antimicrobial and decongestant effect. Therefore, special pastes and rinses are now being created based on it. Bishofite preparations for the oral cavity.
It is these effects of magnesium that explain the medicinal properties of bischofite and its effectiveness in the treatment and rehabilitation of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract and nervous system.
Bishofite is used in medicine in the form of general and local baths, compresses, rubbing, and lotions. And if previously it was offered mainly to patients in sanatoriums, now, thanks to convenient preparations based on it, treatment with bischofite at home has become popular. - deforming arthrosis, including complicated by secondary synovitis;
- rheumatoid arthritis;
- osteoarthritis without pronounced manifestations of reactive synovitis;
- vertebrogenic
- diseases of the nervous system in patients with compression and reflex syndromes of the cervicothoracic and lumbar-sacral spine (radiculitis, lumbodynia, lumbar sciatica, etc.) Compresses with bischofite are also prescribed to patients with neurological manifestations of spinal osteochondrosis and cerebral palsy.
In clinical studies, 70-80% of patients showed significant improvement after a course of treatment. Pain, stiffness, swelling decreased or completely disappeared, range of motion in the lumbar region and affected joints was restored, blood pressure normalized, and coronary blood flow improved.
The therapeutic effect was more pronounced in the group of patients who had muscular-tonic disorders, and less so in patients with bone changes with a disease duration of more than 5 years.
Making a compress correctly at home is not difficult. To do this, the lower back, neck or other painful area of the body must first be warmed for 3-5 minutes using a blue lamp or heating pad. Then pour 20-30 grams of bischofite heated to 38-40 degrees in a saucer and, wetting your fingers with brine, lightly rub it into the skin, as if massaging it, for 3-5 minutes. Then soak the gauze with the remaining preparation, apply it to the painful area, cover with wax paper or film and wrap it thoroughly. It is best to do the procedures at night, leaving the compress on for 8-10 hours. In the morning, wash off the remaining bischofite from the skin with warm water. For a course of treatment, 12-14 procedures are recommended, carried out every other day.
If signs of skin irritation appear, lubricate the affected area with a nourishing cream.

INSTRUCTIONS. ON THE MEDICAL USE OF BATHS, COMPRESSES, LOTIONS AND RINSE FROM BISCHOFITE BRINE WITH THE ADDING OF NATURAL ESSENTIAL OILS OF MEDICINAL PLANTS
Bischofite is a natural mineral. In composition, it is bromine chloride-magnesium brine (96% magnesium chloride) with a total mineralization of 400-450 g/l, with an acidic reaction of the medium and containing various trace elements (iodine, copper, iron, silicon, molybdenum, titanium, lithium, etc. .d.). It lies at a depth of 1000-17OO m in the form of highly soluble crystals. It is extracted by underground dissolution in artesian water through a well. When dissolved, the natural solution (brine) of bischofite is colorless or slightly yellowish, odorless, and oily to the touch. The taste is hot - bitter and salty. There is reason to believe that the anti-inflammatory, absorbable, antispastic and vasodilating effect is ensured by the presence of magnesium in the bischofite brine, as well as microelements that penetrate the patient’s skin. A positive, calming effect on the human nervous system is due to the presence of bromine.
We offer you five different versions of the drug (to choose from) based on highly concentrated bischofite brine with the addition of the best natural essential oils from leading manufacturers in Russia and Germany. At the same time, the oils themselves and their concentration are selected in such a way that they not only make the procedures for using the drug more comfortable, but also increase the miraculous power of natural bischofite.
GENERAL AND LOCAL BATHS FROM “BISCHOFITE WITH NATURAL ESSENTIAL OILS OF MEDICINAL PLANTS”.
Taking into account that bischofite brine baths are analogues of iodine-bromine baths, bischofite baths are prescribed for diseases:
- Musculoskeletal system (arthritis, arthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteochondrosis, consequences of injuries).
- Peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, neuritis, ganglinitis, central nervous system (functional disorders - neuroses, neurasthenia, climatic syndrome, vegetative-vascular dystonia).
- Female genital area (inflammatory, disharmonious disorders).
- Cardiovascular system (atherosclerosis, hypertension I-II degrees, functional disorders of peripheral vascular disease, etc.)
In addition, under the influence of taking medicinal baths, patients’ general condition, mood, and night’s sleep improve.
A therapeutic bath can be easily prepared at home. To do this, it is enough to dilute the purchased “Bishofite” in tap water at a temperature of 35-37 degrees in the proportion: 1:50 (100 grams of the drug per 5 liters of water or 1-2 liters per bath).
