The effect of the drug is due to the action of the active components:
- Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a source of sulfur, biologically available to the body, a component of proteins that make up all connective tissues. MSM reduces the risk of developing inflammatory processes, accelerates the synthesis of collagen proteins and helps maintain healthy joints.
- Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate take part in the synthesis of connective tissue. Glucosamine is a structural component for the formation (synthesis) of other components of cartilage structures, inhibits the development of degenerative processes in joints, and restores their function. The introduction of exogenous glucosamine enhances the production of cartilage matrix. Chondroitin sodium sulfate is an additional substrate for the formation of a healthy cartilage matrix; it is part of the synovial fluid, which ensures the sliding of articular surfaces and also provides nutrition to the cartilage.
- Hyaluronic acid is part of the joint fluid, where it acts as a lubricant, reducing friction between articular surfaces, is part of cartilage, where it performs a “spring” function (maintains the resistance of cartilage tissue to compression), is an important component of synovial fluid, determining it in viscosity - elastic properties. It forms a covering layer on the entire inner surface that protects articular cartilage and synovium from mechanical damage, as well as from free radicals and inflammatory factors. On the surface of the mucous membranes, hyaluronic acid forms a thin semi-permeable protective layer, covering the nerve endings and preventing irritation; stimulates collagen formation.
Pharmacological properties of the drug Artron triactiv
The drug stimulates the regeneration of cartilage tissue. Glucosamine and chondroitin take part in the biosynthesis of connective tissue, preventing the processes of cartilage destruction and stimulating tissue regeneration. Glucosamine enhances the production of cartilage matrix and provides non-specific protection against chemical damage to cartilage. Glucosamine is part of the endogenous glycosaminoglycans of cartilage tissue. Another likely function of glucosamine is the protection of damaged cartilage from metabolic destruction caused by NSAIDs and corticosteroids, as well as its own moderate anti-inflammatory effect. Chondroitin sulfate sodium, regardless of whether it is absorbed in intact form or in the form of separate components, serves as an additional substrate for the formation of a healthy cartilage matrix. Stimulates the formation of hyaluronic acid, the synthesis of proteoglycans and type II collagen, and also protects hyaluronic acid from enzymatic breakdown (by inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase) and from the damaging effects of free radicals. Chondroitin sulfate maintains the viscosity of synovial fluid, stimulates cartilage repair mechanisms and inhibits the activity of enzymes (elastase and hyaluronidase) that break down cartilage tissue. In the treatment of osteoarthritis, it reduces the severity of symptoms of the disease and reduces the need for NSAIDs. Methylsulfonylmethane is a substance containing sulfur. Sulfur promotes the absorption of minerals by the liver, is important for brain function, the formation of hair, nails, connective tissue, cartilage, and has a pronounced antiallergic effect. Methylsulfonylmethane helps remove lactate from tissues, as well as toxins, which increases and promotes the penetration of nutrients into tissues; Helps the body restore damaged skin cells and connective tissue, increases their elasticity. The bioavailability of glucosamine when administered orally is 25% (first pass effect through the liver). Distributed in tissues: maximum concentrations in the liver, kidneys and articular cartilage. About 30% of the dose taken is stored for a long time in bone and muscle tissue. Excreted primarily in urine unchanged; partly with feces. The half-life is 68 hours. When chondroitin sodium sulfate is administered orally in a single dose of 0.3 g, its concentration in the blood plasma increases sharply over 24 hours. Absolute bioavailability is 12%. About 10 and 20% of the dose taken is absorbed in the form of high and low molecular weight derivatives, respectively. The approximate volume of distribution is about 0.44 ml/g. Chondroitin sulfate sodium is metabolized by desulfuration (after administration of low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate sodium). Excreted in urine. The half-life is 310 minutes.

Reviews about the application
Evgeniy “I go in for sports at a professional level, since my youth I have had the consequences of an injury, and periodically the pain returns. On the doctor’s advice, I started taking Artron Triactive, and after three weeks I felt the first results. The pain in my knees and elbow has become less (these are my “bottleneck” areas). In addition, it became easier to perform some exercises, especially stretching. The course was prescribed - three months, I hope for good results.”
Daria “Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine began” while still in college. Before pregnancy, I decided to take my health seriously, so I received comprehensive treatment from a rheumatologist. Among the prescribed medications was Artron Triactive. At first, the effect was noticeable, the pain when moving and sitting in one place for a long time became noticeably less, but the expected healing did not happen. Quite by chance I saw the same drug in the pharmacy, but only in a slightly modified package. After a short “investigation”, it turned out that all this time I had been taking a counterfeit drug, so the results were short-lived while I took a course of other medications. As a result, I read reviews on the Internet and came to the conclusion that the drug is often counterfeited, the cost is not a penny, and it can be brewed normally. Now I’ve been taking the original drug for two months, I feel noticeably better, so the product really works.”
Doctor's review

Interaction with alcohol and drugs
The drug Artron Triactiv, the instructions for which are discussed below, is often used in the complex treatment of joint diseases. Additional agents that enhance the beneficial effects of the drug include glucocorticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is worth noting that in such cases a dosage adjustment is required. An enhanced effect also occurs with simultaneous intake of vitamin formulations.
Artron Triactiv reduces the effectiveness of drugs from the penicillin group, and when taking tetracycline antibiotics, on the contrary, it enhances their absorption. The drug does not combine well with alcohol, so for better results, it is better to avoid alcoholic beverages during the treatment period. Artron Triactiv is also capable of increasing the toxic effects of narcotic anesthetics, which means avoiding taking the drug before elective operations.
