The use of the Almag device allows you to improve the condition of a patient with gout thanks to its unique actions. With its regular use, there is a decrease in the inflammatory process, relief of pain, and elimination of joint stiffness. The device is often prescribed to elderly patients who find it difficult to engage in physical therapy.
The main advantage of the device is the ability to simultaneously influence several lesions in one session (convenient when influencing the joints of the fingers). It is widely used for damage to large joints.
Indications for use
The device is effective for:
- fractures, bruises, dislocations;
- sprains;
- tendovaginitis;
- thrombosis, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis;
- arthritis, arthrosis;
- gout;
- bursitis;
- osteochondrosis;
- heel spur;
- radiculitis;
- scoliosis;
- spinal hernia;
- pinched nerve.
A course of magnetic therapy should be taken only with the prescription of the attending physician. It is not recommended to decide on the use of the device on your own.
What causes gout?
The cause of gout is a metabolic disorder that is associated with a decrease in the excretory capacity of the kidneys. There are a number of factors that contribute to the development of gout:
- The predominance in the diet of foods whose breakdown causes the formation of a significant amount of uric acid - meat, fish, liver, alcoholic beverages.
- Inadequate or monotonous diet.
- Nervous fatigue.
- Sedentary lifestyle.
- Hereditary predisposition.
And although a local effect on the area of the affected joint is intended only to eliminate inflammation and a painful attack during an exacerbation of gout, treatment must begin with stopping the attack.
Device models
WITH
There are several devices of the Almag series, which differ from each other in:
- form;
- radiation power;
- depth of penetration of impulses into the dermis;
- duration of work;
- size;
- cost.
Almag-01
Treatment of gout using this model is carried out with minimal use of drugs. Magnetic impulses emanating from the device enhance the healing properties of medications.
Almag-01 is capable of:
- increase immunity;
- remove swelling from the affected area;
- improve blood circulation;
- accelerate the release of toxic substances that pollute internal organs and blood fluid from the body;
- return joints to their previous sizes;
- speed up the healing process.
The magnetic radiation of the device penetrates 12 mm into the dermis.
Almag-02
The model represents an improved device that has a wide range of effects on lesions. With regular use, the device relieves many diseases and their symptoms, relieves pain, reduces tumors, and effectively relieves inflammation. The device is used not only for diseases of the knee joint, but also for the treatment of internal organs.
Stages of development of gout
Gout is a disease that constantly progresses. At the end of each stage of the development of the disease, the symptoms of the next stage become more and more pronounced - more severe, with more acute manifestations during attacks, less amenable to treatment.
In the development of gouty arthritis, three periods of development are distinguished: premorbid, intermittent and chronic.
The premorbid period is the longest in the development of the disease; it is characterized by the formation of an increased concentration of uric acid in the blood and is asymptomatic. The first attack of gout indicates that the disease has begun to progress.
The second period - intermittent - is characterized by alternating attacks and asymptomatic intervals between them. The onset of a gout attack is often triggered by food, alcohol, or medications that cause increased production of uric acid.
Further development is characterized by a change in the nature of the attacks, which become longer and lose their severity. The time intervals between exacerbations are reduced and are no longer asymptomatic. This suggests that gouty arthritis is entering a chronic stage.
According to the observations of doctors, the chronic stage occurs 5-10 years after the first attack of gout and is characterized by abundant tophi, inflammation of the joints and periarticular tissues, damage to soft tissues and internal organs.
Using the device in the treatment of gout
During the treatment of the disease, magnetic or laser techniques are used. But in the first case, the effect of waves on the body is more gentle.
Instructions for use:
- Conveniently position the patient.
- Turn on the device and wait until the indicators light up.
- Attach diodes to the affected area
- Time it.
Before turning on Almag, you should remove all magnetic emitters that are sensitive to electromagnetic waves around you (phone, audio equipment, etc.).
Using the device in the treatment of gout allows you to relieve pain while causing minimal harm to the human body. Even after a single use, the patient’s condition improves. When completing the full course of treatment, the joints become more mobile.
Gout symptoms
At the onset of the disease, the increased concentration of uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia) does not manifest itself in any way. Problems arise when their concentration increases and crystal deposition begins. Most often, one joint begins to hurt: the articulation of the big toe and metatarsus. In 50% of recorded cases of gout, the first metatarsophalangeal joint of the foot is affected.
The attack is characterized by acute and sharp pain that begins at night or in the morning. At the same time, signs of joint inflammation become noticeable: redness, swelling, high temperature and sharp pain when moving. Often an attack is triggered by consumption of alcohol, fatty and meat foods the day before. After the onset of an exacerbation, which lasts from 1-2 to 7 days, a period of remission begins - from six months to several years. Lack of treatment leads to a repeated attack, and over time the interval between exacerbations decreases.
If gout is not treated in the initial stages, the increased level of uric acid in the blood remains and after some time the disease manifests itself again - with more serious pain. Over time, the disease becomes chronic.
A characteristic feature of gout is the formation of tophi - dense, hard formations up to 2 cm in diameter, which contain a viscous liquid with uric acid crystals. Tophi can form near affected joints, on the forearms, ears, or other places.
Gout often occurs in an asymptomatic form, characterized by minor pain and mild redness.
Therapeutic effect of the device
According to clinical studies, the positive effects of magnetic waves are observed after the third session in 65% of patients. Others feel the therapeutic effect a little later.
Reviews from patients who underwent physiotherapy with the Almag device are very positive. After a single use they note:
- pain relief;
- reduction of swelling;
- improvement of general condition.
The procedure is generally well tolerated. Some feel a slight tingling sensation.
How to treat gout with the ALMAG-01 device
The method of using the ALMAG-01 device depends on the severity of the pain syndrome.
In case of severe pain syndrome (pain when touching a joint), therapy with the device is carried out without direct contact of the surface of the joint and the inductor coils. To do this, the inductor is kept at a distance of 1-2 cm from the affected joint.
When pain symptoms subside - when touching the inductors to the joint becomes possible and does not cause pain - ALMAG-01 is attached directly to the joint. For gout in the knee, elbow, or ankle, inductors must be placed around the joint. If the joints of the foot are affected, a chain of inductor coils is placed on the floor and the foot is placed on top: the heel is on the first inductor, the affected area is on the second, the third and fourth inductors “wrap” the foot on top.
The course of treatment is designed for three weeks, with breaks on days 7 and 13. The exposure time in the first week is set to 10 minutes, in the second and third – 15 minutes each. The procedure is carried out twice a day.
Repeated therapy is carried out 30-40 days after completion of the initial course. In the future, it is necessary to conduct maintenance courses, which can begin no earlier than 3-4 months after completion of the second course.
In addition to treatment with the ALMAG-01 device, it is necessary to limit the consumption of food that produces uric acid. These are beef tongue, liver, fish roe, mushrooms, legumes and alcoholic beverages. It is also necessary to increase water consumption, with the expectation that its daily consumption will be at least 3 liters, lead an active lifestyle and abandon strict diets.
THE DESIGN OF ALMAG-01 INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS:
Are there any contraindications
The device should not be used in patients who have:
- heart diseases;
- neoplasms of various etiologies;
- purulent skin diseases;
- thyrotoxicosis;
- elevated temperature;
- tuberculosis.
Almag should also not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Treatment with Almag is most effective as part of complex therapy: while taking medications and following a diet that helps suppress uric acid in the body.
What is gout?
Gout
- This is one of the types of joint diseases. The disease is based on a metabolic disorder caused by a decrease in the excretory properties of the kidneys: uric acid salts (urates) begin to accumulate in the blood plasma and crystallize in the joints.
Urates are crystals of sodium and potassium salts that concentrate on the inner layer of the joint capsule - the synovium of the joint.
The deposition of salts impedes the normal functioning of the synovial membrane and changes its chemical composition, worsening the metabolism in the joint cavity and the nutrition of cartilage tissue. As a result, the cartilage does not receive normal nutrition and does not regenerate, and salt crystals increase friction between the articular surfaces, limiting their mobility.
The development of gouty arthritis always occurs along the following chain:
- Increased concentration of uric acid in blood plasma.
- Formation of salt crystals on the surface of cartilage.
- The beginning of the inflammatory process (arthritis).
- The development of irreversible changes in the joint, up to the transition of the disease to the chronic stage.
The small joints of the hands and feet, knee and ankle joints are most often affected by gout. Attacks of gout indicate kidney disease - nephritis and urolithiasis, therefore, when relieving pain in a particular joint, you need to pay close attention to this.
Symptoms of cervical osteochondrosis
There is a set of characteristic symptoms for the disease:
- Complaints of pain (both acute and dull, aching), which can be localized in the neck, back of the head, and in the arms and shoulder blade. This is due to pinching of the nerve roots of the corresponding cervical segment.
- Muscle weakness and numbness in the neck and arms.
- Stiffness when moving the neck and dizziness.
- Increased fatigue and decreased performance may occur.
- Hearing and vision impairment is less common (with advanced disease).
The above symptoms and complaints can be combined. This depends on the specific location and extent of the pathological process.
Prevention of cervical osteochondrosis
If you follow the following rules of prevention, it is possible not only to prevent the development of osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, but also to stop the development of the disease:
- Regular moderate physical activity and/or physical therapy.
- Maintain a healthy diet with enough water, calcium, magnesium and protein.
- Performing exercises for the cervical spine during long sedentary work, at least once every two hours.
